Help bring "Birthday Errands" a film by Charlie Lay to life!

My name is Charlie Lay and I am the writer and director of "Birthday Errands".
"Birthday Errands" is a short film that I am producing as my BA Capstone thesis. It is the culmination of everything I've learned at school and will be the most difficult film I've worked on to date.
LOGLINE - On her son’s birthday, a mother grieves the loss of a loved one while running the errands required to make sure she is ready to celebrate!
I know what you’re thinking - I thought this was about a serial killer investigation (or a Thanksgiving dinner). You’re right, it was.
When working through all of the concepts of my capstone film, I filtered through many ideas I liked and thought would have been engaging - the main theme of them all being family.
After reflecting on this for a bit, I decided to incorporate my favorite ideas from each draft and concept to create something more focused and reflective of the message I want to explore.
This final abstraction lingered in my mind until I wrote the first draft of “Birthday Errands”.
The film explores the depth of connection between family members and the fragility of memory.
I hope you’re all as excited as I am and look forward to showing you all more soon!
Your support will help bring our film to life - money donated will go towards things necessary to create the film like food for our hardworking team, transportation, and booking locations.
Any and all donations are appreciated!
