Welcome to Blue Sage Honey Company
Blue Sage Honey Co. is a new company started by myself, Abra Snow Adams. I use premium, raw, Clover Honey and infuse it in small batches with herbs and spices that are organic, wildcrafted and/or cultivated without chemicals. Each batch is infused by hand to make an especially unique and tasty product that adds magic to many culinary creations. The honey is infused in stainless steel vats and heated at low temperatures not exceeding those naturally occurring within the bee hive. This pristine quality, raw, Clover Honey is heated at low temperatures and mixed with high quality herbs and spices. Once the infusion is complete, the bulk of the herbs are strained leaving a smooth honey, infused with the flavors and even the colors of the herbs and spices.
This business was born through inspiration and a kinship with all things Bee related. My husband, Chris (who drew the honey bear under the apple tree on my label), spent years as a professional beekeeper and ran a honey bottling business. Through his experience I have learned a lot about the industry and made some very valuable connections. This is how I am able to get some of the most incredible honey for this magical creation! Infusing the honey is a beautiful process, its creative, artistic, aromatic, and satisfying. When it is done it's a magical honey infusion that lights up peoples eyes. It is such a surprise to taste the flowers of Lavender, Chamomile and Rose, or the spice of Ginger, Cardamom and Cinnamon in honey, which, lets face it, is magical on its own, too... People just can't believe it! This is what one friend had to say after getting some of the Cardomom Infused Honey, "I just want to tell you how much I am in love with Blue Sage Honey Company. The Cardamom Honey makes me so happy!"
In additon to brightening people's day a portion of the sale of each jar goes to support the Honey Bees!
This whole process has been an inventive one. There have been many tests and constant brainstorming on how to infuse honey in larger batches while maintaining consistency. Many thanks to Chris for all of his ideas and listening to me talk over and over about honey! I have found a system that works, but my equipment is too small-scale. It is costing me time which increases my overhead. I need to streamline the making of my honey infusions so I can make larger batches faster to keep up with demand. I am reaching out for support from friends, family, and anyone who LOVES HONEY! With your help this delicious product could soon bee available in nearby stores, online, at local farmers markets and craft fairs.
(Here Chris is helping me strain a batch of Ginger Infused Honey)
I have made it this far but it is time for me to up my production and make some big investments. This is what I need to keep moving forward and make the necessary improvements:
~A 25 Gallon Stainless Steel Infuser.
This will allow me to make larger quantities, bringing each batch up from 10 Gallons to 25 Gallons per Infusion!
~One Band heater for a 55 Gallon Drum of Honey.
This will allow me to purchase honey in larger quantities, thus lowering my price per lb. It will also increase my production level.
~Two 55 Gallon Drums of Premium Raw Clover Honey!
For obvious reasons :)
~Supplies, Such as Herbs, Jars, Buckets, Strainers and Labels.
~Items for my Event Booth Such as a Tent and Folding Tables.
Having a booth at local events will be an important part of the Blue Sage Honey Co. business plan. I am fortunate to live in an area that has many Farmers Markets, Craft Fairs, Music Festivals and special events that would be perfect for our Naturally Infused Honeys!
~Rent for the Use of a Certified Kitchen.
I am renting space in Master's Kitchen at Ananda Village, where, as it happens, I grew up and had one of my first jobs as a kid.... It is close to our home and a great space, I'm very grateful for it.
I know your resources are precious and asking for help isn't always easy. This is a dream business for me and I hope my Honey Infusions appeal to your senses (particularly your tastebuds), your creativity, your love of food and your inspired spirit. If it does, I hope you also feel inspired to help us get this business off the ground with a donation and by spreading the word and sharing this fundraiser with your family and friends.
To say thank you, I will be offering backer rewards. For different levels of contributions I will send you (or hand you) your thank you gift.
It will be a Hoot.....
I promise!....
My goal is to raise $10,000 to get all the necessary equipment and supplies for Blue Sage Honey Company to keep going, to grow, and move on to the next level of business. To really make this business TAKE OFF!!Every contribution will be used for items on my list. I am perched on the edge, ready for the next move. With your support that is totally possible!

My husband, Chris, and I have a small homestead on family land where we value honest work, simple living and simple pleasures. My mission for Blue Sage Honey Company is to build a business that allows me to create something that brings goodness into the world. After my line of Infusions is well established I plan to expand to sourcing and bottling high quality plain honey.
This is truly a labor of love for me.
From the bottom of our hearts, Thank You!!!
