From Hannah:

With 24’ summer kicking off, Bobby had to head to Canada for work. We all packed up for 6 weeks and headed to Montreal with Natasha's address in hand. Well we were getting our bearings in Montreal, falling into routine, the twins were in the bath. As the water began to drain Ford slipped and landed on his back during the fall his head smacked the tub. We weren’t prepared for all that has followed.

Weeks post Fords Injury, we found ourselves at a Canadian Hospital for further evaluation for lack of movement in Fords neck and the full body shocks of pain he was enduring. After X-rays an MRI and a CT scan we were informed they found a Lytic Lesion on Ford’s C2 Vertebrae with additional possible abnormalities in spinal area. Completely unrelated to his fall, we were directed to get home within 48 hrs and admit Ford back in San Diego. On Tuesday, July 16th Ford and I boarded a plane. We landed around 1:30am and he was admitted to Rady's Children's Hospital by 7:00pm on Wednesday, July 17th. We were there for for the next 9 days with little to no answers.

Ford was discharged on July 25 as outpatient so he could be home with us. The Entire Rady’s medical team are at a loss for what the exact diagnosis is. There is the possibility of a bone biopsy procedure. However, this procedure is highly invasive with the potential of permanent damage.

On August 7th Ford was admitted to Radys for a second time. He has had a fever of 102 for the past 5 days. His medical team is now re-evaluating and running additional tests. We are unsure as to how long we will be here.

Right now we are trying our best to figure it out day by day and also coordinate childcare for the girls. Bob and I are splitting our team between the girls in San Marcos and Ford at Radys.

As of today 8.19.24 Ford is home as an outpatient attending doctor appointments about every other day.

Bob and Hannah are not ones to ask for help and they are so loved by their community.

We've created this Go Fund Me as a way to help Bob and Hannah cover costs and keep their loved ones updated. With this unexpected medical journey they are on they've had to take time off work, cover medical expenses, book last minute international flights and find care for the girls.
