Brie Dehusson Memorial
Donation protected
On August 28th 2016, Brie Dehusson was victim of a Homicide while riding their bike through the park.
Brie was a bright, positive and wonderful person whom was taken from us entirely too soon. They were an extremely gracious and caring person who spent countless hours advocating for protection of the Alaskan Environment and Human Rights.
Brie was fascinated by horticulture and spent several summers working on a cold climate organic farm in Bethel, Alaska. They were a member of the Alaskan Botanical Gardens and could frequently be found there, admiring the growth and progress of the plants.
The goal of this fundraiser is to purchase a memorial bench in the Alaska Botanical Gardens. Brie provided so many people with comfort and positivity. With full support of this fundraiser we can ensure that their memory will be able to live on and continue what they strived for in life, by serving as a place for reflection and solace, not only for those that knew Brie, but those spending time enjoying the natural beauty of the Garden as well.
All proceeds will go towards the purchase of a Memorial Bench in the Alaska Botanical Garden. If the goal is unmet, but donations have surpassed $2500, a memorial plaque will be purchased and the remainder (if applicable) will be donated to the Alaska Botanical Garden.
