URGENT UPDATE

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the loss of our beloved Gage Wilson, cherished son, brother, uncle, grandson, nephew, cousin, and dear friend. Gage was found deceased on Sunday, August 4th, 2024, leaving us in profound disbelief and sorrow.

Gage disappeared on May 18th after a car accident on Koonyum Range Road in the Mullumbimby area in Byron Bay’s hinterland. For over 10 weeks, an exhaustive search led by close family friends ended in the heartbreaking discovery of his remains near Left Bank Road.

Our hearts are shattered, but we are deeply grateful for the overwhelming support we’ve received from the wider community, the Byron Shire Police, and friends and family, who searched tirelessly for him.

This is our worst nightmare, and our hearts ache for other families of missing loved ones in the Byron Shire area. We send our love and strength to those who are grieving alongside us.

Gage was a gentle, free spirit, with a deep love for peace, nature, and humanity. We can only hope that his final moments were as serene as his soul. His story, though short, touched so many lives, and he will forever be remembered.

As a family, we wish to bring Gage back to the Northern Rivers, to lay him to rest in the place he called home. We hope to give him a peaceful farewell — a burial or cremation, and a beautiful celebration of his life.

We humbly ask for your support during this difficult time. Any contributions towards Gage’s memorial would mean the world to us as we navigate this unimaginable loss. Your generosity will help us honor his memory and share his story with those near and far who loved him.

We are reaching out to our community for assistance in the case of 31 year old local Gage Wilson, a well-loved man who has now been missing from the Mullumbimby NSW area for nearly two weeks.

Friends and family of Gage are concerned for his safety after his ute was found crashed into a tree on May 18. Gage is a unique individual with a wonderful, generous heart and quirky sense of humour — he is known for his ability to make us all laugh. He is incredibly talented, intelligent, and artistic. He is honest and authentic, and his presence is greatly missed.

Police, family, and friends are doing what they can to find Gage. But we need your help too. We are raising funds to extend and expand the search for Gage. 100% of funds raised will go towards the purchasing of high quality signs, advertisement, equipment hire, and search hire including a potential private investigator. Your financial donations will help us seek alternative avenues to extend and expand the search for Gage.
