Bring David Bankston Home!

This is David Bankston from Livingston, Louisiana. He works away from home as a Safety Supervisor for a private company with offices near Amarillo, Texas in the lonely desolation of the Texas panhandle.
He works hard, resides alone in a travel trailer, and endures this lonely life for the benefit of his family. He went to the emergency room with shortness of breath on November 26th and lost consciousness. He had pneumonia.
He is still unconscious today, and has been so for over a month in a hospital in North Texas. Tubes for air are in his lungs through a tracheotomy and a feeding tube is inserted through a hole in his side. His children visit him only by costly flights or by driving 14 hours, and his son quit his job to sit with him and to be instantly available to make emergency decisions and report to the family in southeast Louisiana. Although the two daughters and other family members and friends have done their best to visit, much of the time David is alone. We PRAY his brain is functioning well and the doctors are still hopeful for a recovery.
He needs to be transported home to the Baton Rouge area. He needs to be close to his family for rehabilitation when he awakes. David urgently needs your help for enormous expenses and costs associated with his misfortune . Medical transportation back home could easily cost more than $25,000.00. He will need to be transported by air under the direct care of a doctor and a critical care team. He has no income, but his obligations continue to mount. Although there is limited medical insurance, it does not address many of David’s needs, his financial obligations, and especially medical transportation home.
I am a retired district judge and David’s brother-in-law and friend. You have my pledge that your generosity will be used only for David’s benefit. Those who know David like him and think a lot of him. He is one of those guys who will gladly do anything for anyone. He is a genuinely great guy and a true friend to many.
You may visit David’s personal page on Facebook to learn more about him.
