Brodie Curtis Family Fund

This is our sweet Brodie Curtis.  He is 4 years old and has a BIG fight on his hands.  Brodie was diagnosed with NF1 at 9 months old when his AMAZING pediatrician noticed cafe au lait spots developing on him. We though he just had several birthmarks. After many specialty visits and genetic testing, we found out she was indeed right. Brodie then started going to the NF Clinic at Duke. At 2 years old, he started having horrible itching and pain to the left side of his face. We took him to multiple dermatologist and neurologist. A brain MRI was finally ordered about 6 months later, on April 29, 2015, and we found Brodie had an inoperable brain tumor in his brain stem and spinal cord. We quickly got in to see neurosurgery and pediatric neuro oncology at Duke. Brodie started chemotherapy as soon as his portacath was placed. After about 6 month, his brain tumor stopped growing! He continued chemotherapy for 20 months, just stopping in January. Now Brodie goes to Duke every month for check-ups and MRIs every 3 months to monitor his brain tumor. We go to Florida every 3 months to see Dr Gururangan since he specializes in NF and pediatric oncology! Brodie also has to have PT, OT, and ST every week. Brodie continues to live with his brain tumor, muscle weakness, and many daily challenges due to NF and it's horrible effects. We continue to pray for a cure! 
Brodie has a 7!year old sister who adores him and his parents are getting him the very best treatment available.  Jessie, his mom is an Registered Nurse and is taking family medical leave to be with Brodie.  Cameron, his Dad is my nephew and he works as an auto mechanic.  They are a Christian family who welcomes all the prayers, love and support we can provide.  

This fund is to help the family with expenses while Brodie is fighting to survive.  Please help in any way you can.  All funds will be given to Brodie's parents to use as needed.  

May GOD bless Brodie and his doctors and comfort his parents and sister as Brodie begins this difficult journey.
