Northside neighbors are pulling together to create a beautiful space at the SW corner of Brook Rd./Bellevue Ave. The concept is a mural that reflects what we love about Northside. This community-driven effort to beautify and create shared space is a symbol of how we can achieve positive things when we come together.

FAQs

Who is the artist/muralist on the project?

A committee of Northside neighbors released a Request for Proposals earlier this year and through a competitive process selected the artist Ed Trask to design and install the mural.

What will be in the image?

The overarching concept is Northside Love with a collaborative approach to design development. Ed Trask will be informed by responses from an online survey that asked people what they love about Northside in words and images. He'll consider this input and present concept sketches to the volunteer committee and work collaboratively to develop the overall concept.

When will the mural be completed?

Our goal is to have the mural installed fall 2022. This will depend upon success of fundraising efforts.

What will the mural cost?

We are raising $13,500 to support the Northside mural, with a total fundraising goal of $14,000.

Any additional funds will be used to support maintenance and upkeep.

Can I help out/volunteer?

Yes! We have a variety of needs including:

   Fundraising

   Event Planning

   Painting and clean-up
