Founder Mar’quis Bryant-Morgan
B.S. Nuclear Science and Engineering OSU ‘21

After a college career filled with challenge and perseverance, Mar’quis Bryant-Morgan decided to reinvest in the community that helped push him through some of the most difficult times of his life. Son of 2 former Navy Chiefs, Mar’quis has dedicated his life to upholding the characteristic values of versatility, integrity, and perseverance. Growing up as a military child has taught him the importance of demonstrating strong morals every day while displaying care and compassion for those in his community.

The Bryant-Morgan Scholarship was created in 2020 to provide financial support for Black students at Oregon State University amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. The COVID-19 pandemic has been challenging for students as they took less classes, moved away from campus, and experienced higher financial hardship and lower motivation. This scholarship continues to serve to set up Black Beavers for success as they work towards graduating with their respective degrees and accomplish their own academic dreams.

In order to continue the important work of supporting Black students, The Bryant-Morgan Scholarship is accepting all donations from those that care for the Black Oregon State community.
