On Friday, November 6th, the brothers of Kappa Sigma will be hosting Bubbafest IV at Local 506 in Chapel Hill, welcoming both current and alumni brothers back for Homecoming weekend.
This special cocktail is the fourth iteration of a standing tradition amongst Alpha Mu alumni honoring Bill "Bubba" Chepul, who passed away this year after a courageous battle with brain cancer. Throughout his fight with cancer, Bubba remained positive, focusing on his love for his family and friends above his medical state.
Bubbafest was initially conceived as a celebration of friendship for the ever-smiling Bubba and the countless friends he made during his lifetime. Next weekend, we're honoring that tradition with a celebration of his life, and would like to take the opportunity to extend help to Brother Chepul's wife and two sons.
Through this page, Alpha Mu is collecting donations for a 529 college plan for the Chepul boys as they near college age. Any and all donations are extremely appreciated, and will be donated directly to the college fund. Twelve of Bubba's brothers are sponsoring the cocktail on Friday evening, and all of the proceeds raised will be used exclusively for the Chepul family.
