PhraAjahn Samruay Tayano, a Buddhist monk and scrupulous observer of the Thai Forest Tradition since the age of 19 is the Abbot of Buddhist temples in both Thailand and the United States.

Now at age 68, this very humble and Great Teacher of the Dharma, reverently called "Luang Por" by his students, attracts people wherever he goes with his radiant joy and he has more energy than most of the young monks he teaches around the world!

Upon meeting this unique man at his temple in Ontario, California, last winter, Luang Por extended me the rare invitation to travel with him and one other monk through Thailand and Vietnam.

For several weeks we visited families and temples from Phuket Province to Sakon Nakhon and Hanoi to Ha Long Bay...and many places in between. Often sleeping in tents or on teak livingroom floors, this student was filled with deep appreciation for Ajahn's mission to teach the Dharma and share the Guidance and Blessings of the Great Buddha Shakyamuni to as many as possible.

Now I would like to share this extraordinary adventure with Luang Por's other students around the world.

As a woman, it was an extraordinary honor to enter the world of the Buddhist monk, witness their daily lives, private ceremonies and ancient traditions reserved exclusively for those males who follow the monastic code.

Because so much footage was shot while traveling with Ajahn, I would like to raise money for post production costs, including bi-lingual subtitling and to hire a proper editor. This is very important to finish the project in the most professional and timely way to reflect my heartfelt gratitude for the experience of a lifetime.
