CAMPFIRE-Releif - Mother saves childern
Donation protected
We've updated to reflect Christina's story as she's been able to talk a little more about the events that took place in a blink of an eye. My sister is so grateful for all the love and prayers sent her way. Thank GOD her instincts took over and she was able to navigate her and her babies to safety. Never underestimate the power of a Mother fighting for her children's lives.
YOU are my HERO sister. - Stephanie.
From our friend : Last night I sat with Christina as she recounted her escape from the fire. She was at work when it happened while her 3 children were with her Mother In Law. You hear of mothers doing unnatural things when it comes to saving their children but her story is one that will continue to stick with me the rest of my life. Christina left her car and RAN toward the fire to get to her kids. While cars were gridlocked going the opposite direction she was running. People were yelling at her asking what in the world she was doing. She just kept yelling, "MY KIDS", while pointing up the road. She remained on facetime with them until she found them. The voices of her kids kept her moving. They were scared, couldn't breath, and were getting hot. The fire was beside the car as she showed up. Her littles were barefoot, one in nothing but undies. The cars were again gridlocked. As the flames closed in from behind and both sides, the kids' father then called her to let her know the flames were already out in front of them too. With no other option, she again left the car on foot to evade the flames. Running through yards and houses trying to escape. Her little was throwing up at this point from the smoke and heat. She carried her the entire time. They hopped in an abandoned car at one point plowing through ditches to dodge other abandoned cars. Her foot was even ran over as she got out to push a car out of her way. Having AGAIN getting caught in gridlock she abandoned that car to find another avenue of escape. She then met up with a man who she assisted in navigating out of harms way.
There's more to her incredible story. For close to 5 hours this Mama kept moving and fighting to save the lives of her children until she got to Chico emergency room where her little was treated for smoke inhalation.
She continues to put the needs of her children first by using the money and cards donated to meet their needs. For 2 days Christina has been wearing the same clothes she was donated. She is in need of everything. She currently has 2 outfits. No car and is staying in Cazadero, CA. If you can donate anything that would help get this AMAZING Woman some of the basics necessities I know she would be incredibly grateful. She has yet to ask for anything for herself. Please help us get this family back on their feet. Thank you, Kristie #campfire #paradise #pleaseshare
