The Caffe Nero Foundation was created 15 years ago to support one of Caffe Nero's core values - “to Make a Positive difference to the lives of people and communities with whom Caffè Nero interacts as well as the wider world we live in”.
For the last 15 years, the Caffe Nero Foundation has fund-matched projects that have been important to our teams and their communities all over the UK. We have funded over 100 such projects where our teams have raised funds to improve their communities. In addition, we have worked with and supported coffee farmers and their communities in Peru, Nicaragua, Ethiopia, Guatemala and elsewhere. This has included investing in yield improvement programs, health care and medicines for communities, cleaning water in communities, expanding primary schools and helping to build a high school for coffee growing communities.
During the Syrian refugee crisis we also helped fund Medecins Sans Frontieres to build an emergency hospital for Syrian refugees along the Syrian-Lebanon border.
Ukrainian Crisis
Caffe Nero employs over 105 nationalities in the 10 countries where we operate. In Poland, 10% of our workforce are from Ukraine. In the U.K., we have several hundred Polish workers and, of those, dozens have relatives or close friends living in Ukraine. Families have been torn apart and loved ones have been injured or killed. We believe in family values and so we want to stand by our teams and those that have been impacted directly by this crisis in Ukraine.
With the funds we raise, we will support Ukrainian families displaced by the current conflict. Our objective will be to assist those who need humanitarian assistance. With our contacts in Ukraine and through our Polish team we hope to directly fund individuals and families in need.
If you feel able to, please help us Make A Positive Difference.
