Funeral expenses for Calvin, Grady student
Calvin Jackson, an 11th grader at Grady High School in Atlanta, died tragically in a shooting a few blocks from his home in Old Fourth Ward on Saturday, May 29. Just a few days earlier, his older sister graduated from Grady. His friends and family as well as his teachers are shocked at this senseless loss. In addition to being devastated, his family is further overwhelmed by a lack of funds to cover his funeral and burial expenses.
Grady Cares is sponsoring this fundraiser in order to defray these costs and show the family love and support during this tragic time. We are working directly with the funeral home and our hope is to cover all the costs associated with laying Calvin to rest.
Calvin and his four siblings all attend Grady cluster schools; Calvin attended Hope Hill Elementary, Inman Middle School and Grady, spending all his school-age years in our community.
Please consider donating to help Calvin's family during this heartbreaking time.
