Gift for Calvin "Let Go" Colleagues

Due to enrollment challenges and budget, a dozen or more of our Calvin colleagues have been let go this spring and early summer; more may be let go in the near future.

Being let go is a difficult way to lose a job and does not afford a formal way for others to show their care for those who lost their job. Let's all pitch in to express our gratitude for the service of our colleagues who were let go, sadness for their loss, and best wishes for their future.

Funds will be used to purchase gift cards for each of our let go colleagues. These gifts will be distributed in the following ways:

-In person to those who are able to attend a farewell dinner at Adel Abadeer's home on August 2.
-By mail to home addresses for those we know were let go.
-By mail with the help of HR to add names and home addresses for those we do not know were let go.
