Cancel That Eviction. 5 Dollars 6,000 times

Donation protected
All politics aside, people whose industries have been completely shut down/eliminated due to Coronavirus Lockdowns are now smacked with lost unemployment and evictions. Real tragedies are about to go down for real people in our communities.

Even as we face hardships ourselves, we can still be grateful if we at least have a relatively secure roof over our heads. If we are in that camp, we can be absolute life savers by gifting 30k to someone about to lose their last bit of hope.

Imagine for just one moment facing the reality of being evicted, homeless. What about your kids? Your furbabies?  Your stuff? Your safety and health?

30k is a lot, but here's the goal of this GoFundMe. Let's see if we can share it like wildfire, each person donating $5. (Yes, totally donate a bigger amount if you're feeling it).

30 people could donate 1000 (not gonna happen)

Or...

6,000 people can donate 5 stinkin dollars.

It can absolutely happen if you donate and share. Ya gotta share though, or this thing is dead in the water.

The beneficiary of this first run will remain anonymous to protect her dignity.

She is someone I know personally and have a great amount of respect for. She has been a tireless figure in her community and the industry she dedicated her life to. She already received her eviction notice for the place she has lived for 15 years.  Tragedy is about to happen.. despair has already set in.

Let's cancel that eviction and give her the gift of hope.

Please jump on the "5 dollars 6,000 times" train and donate/share today.

Thanks to everyone around the country who ends up taking part.

If this goes well I'd like to do it again for another person in dire straits. Then another.  It could be YOU that needs and receives this gift one day, so don't pass it up.

Thanks for chipping in, and hang in there, everyone. We still have each other.

::CRITICAL UPDATE::

The beneficiary of this fundraiser has agreed to go public. Most of you know her well. Venomous Valdez has been one of the leaders in the Cincinnati music scene since August of 1999. There's a really good chance you've been played on one of her radio shows over the years or performed/attended a concert or event she was part of. She volunteers her time as host on Cincy Music Spotlight on The Project for the greater good of the music scene. She goes above and beyond for bands she works with and gives a spotlight/voice to the underdog. She does this, often thanklessly, simply out of her desire to see our music scene thrive and her heart of gold.  Here's our chance to Tip Her!

PERSONAL NOTE from VENOMOUS:
* My hardship began before Covid-19 hit. I suffered a devastating injury on tour at the end of December of 2018. I could not walk for the next 8 months. Being someone that lives on the gig economy, Workman's Comp provided me $500 a month to live on for the entire year of 2019. At the time, I had saved up some money for a down payment on a house. I had to live off that savings and my credit cards as I focused to get my health back.

Here's my dearest sitting on my "Force Your Leg To bend" therapy device. Good Times!

The Doctors cleared my return to work in Dec '19, but only part time. Finally, in February 2020 I had my first full month of full-time income since before I was injured at the end of 2018.

Then COVID hit. I lost my entire year of work on March 3rd. Not having much of an income for 2019, unemployment was way below what my normal pay would have been. I'm finding myself in an increasingly difficult situation. My landlord is evicting me after 15 years on September 1st. I have medical and credit card debt that's rearing its head during a time I'm struggling to find income. And then there is an out-of-industry job search.

When I was initially injured, I had several friends ask if they could orchestrate a fundraiser for me. I declined thinking I could have handled it. The reality of it is, I could have handled it with my 2020 event season. Ya know, before Covid changed how we live right now?  An absolute dollface of a drummer, my friend Braedon, started this GoFundMe secretly last week. He hid the posts from me to surprise me and it DID!

It's very touching that the music community has my back like I have yours for the last 20 years. I love you all. It feels super weird to ask people for money, but I need help from my friends. I need help fighting eviction and/or get a new place to live. Keep the lights on and address my medical debt. Thank you so much for the help.

How will I use the money:
$6000 *Urgent deadline: Fight September 1st eviction and/or find a new place next month.
$500-$1000 Car needs fixed (Kinda helps when trying to work)
$15,000 Medical & Credit Card debt
Everything beyond that would go toward replacing lost wages and my down payment savings.
