CancerBae: Changing The Stigma in the UK

Dear friends, family, and supporters,

My name is Will Wise, and I am a recently diagnosed stage 4 cancer patient who is currently in the midst of my Cancer journey. Since my diagnosis 12 months ago I have been on a mission to be one of the biggest influencers for cancer and cancer awareness and in doing so trying to do everything in my power to raise awareness and support for those currently on their journey.

For me, Cancer is not a taboo word that we should avoid talking about. It's something that affects all of us in some way, and it's time to change the narrative and shift the stigma surrounding it. I am aiming to create my own cancer charity titled CancerBae which is the current name of my online movement which has amassed over 15 million views and has been featured in Newsweekly, The Advertiser and on ESPN.

CancerBae will be a new-age charity that focuses on raising awareness and funding for cancer research by sharing and bringing attention to unique stories and journeys like my own. This will help those who are currently on their journey and need the love and support of a community. This charity will have a particular focus on rare genetic diseases and as someone who is living with stage 4 cancer and a rare genetic disease, I understand firsthand the importance of research and support for those who are facing similar challenges.

My goal is to raise at least £15,000 to get this project off the ground to help with incorporation and trademark cost both the US and in the UK as well as kick start our merchandise roll out in both countries.

With your support, we can create a border-less community where everyone no matter their location can be a part of a supportive, understanding approachable, and transparent community. The aim is to create a space that's inspirational, funny, lighthearted, and informative, where we can talk about the realities of living with cancer and rare genetic diseases and share experiences and knowledge while also coming up with solutions to our everyday struggles and highlighting and sharing the unique stories and journeys of others worldwide proving that no one has to be alone during this journey.
