Caravan of Care: Emergency Food Help
Donation protected
A Friendship Between Communities
For many years, Divine Savior Church in Norridge and Sacred Heart /St. Eulalia's Church in Maywood have been "sharing parishes", a Catholic program where parishes from different neighborhoods are matched to provide mutual aid and friendship.
Pandemic Brings New Challenges
The COVID-19 pandemic has left many people in need of food assistance, and continues to affect the working poor who already were struggling. Each week, people from Divine Savior Church donate non-perishable food and money, and volunteer leaders deliver goods to the Quinn Center of Sacred Heart / St. Eulalia - a Caravan of Care! Unfortunately, the pandemic has also meant decreased donations to the Caravan of Care.
Serving Friends in Need
The Quinn Center provides a weekly soup kitchen as well as emergency grocery food pantry assistance to anyone in need. Individuals and families in need can get non-perishable pantry items every week. Over 100 cars regularly have lined up during the pandemic to receive assistance. Thousands of dollars are needed each month just to meet the needs of the people.
YOU Can Help!
Your donations are urgently needed to fill the hole left in the pandemic as well as meet additional need. Every dollar helps us to feed our friends at Sacred Heart / St. Eulalia! Each week, money you donate here will be sent to the Caravan of Care at Divine Savior Church and used to bring food to the Quinn Center of Sacred Heart / St. Eulalia.
