Care For Carm

Donation protected
In December 2021, my brother, Carm, was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Devastation and disbelief set in quickly, especially since he had witnessed his mother battle the same cancer in 2014. Carm and his wife, Deborah knew what was ahead. They spent countless hours researching treatment and trial options spending thousands of dollars on applications and tests not covered by our health system, only to be declined as he did not meet the criteria for these potential life-saving options.

For those who know Carm, he’s described as a selfless, generous man, devoted to his wife and business partner, Deborah, his family and friends. He has a special place in his heart for his nieces and nephews, whom he has always treated as if they were his own. As a real estate professional, he prides himself on being honest and always doing his best for his clients, helping countless families achieve their real estate dreams.

Over the past year, Carm and his wife left a job they loved to face this journey with courage and a determination to beat the odds. The journey has not been easy, to say the least, with rounds of chemo, followed by surgery and more chemo, which has taken a toll on his body and spirit. Although he has a great support system, the cost of cancer has put a financial strain at a time when they should focus on cherishing their time together.
Pancreatic cancer is one of the most painful forms of this disease with no known cure. Although traditional medicine has helped Carm manage his stage IV symptoms, alternative therapies and supplements have proven to help him maintain his quality of life so he can enjoy the remaining time with family and friends. Unfortunately, these alternative therapies are not covered by our healthcare system.

Knowing we have such a great community of family and friends, who love Carm and Deb and have been asking how they can help, we are reaching out to you for support to help Carm continue these alternative therapies to help him manage the last stage of his journey in a dignified manner.

Thank you for being so supportive, and ask you to continue to send prayers and positive thoughts. Blessings.
