My Dad's Death Changed Everything!
My name is Bemis and I’m Carl & Marianne Black's son.
Unfortunately, Dad passed away Labor Day weekend, while we were negotiaating a loan modification with Wells Fargo Bank.
I was unable to stop the Sheriff’s Auction on December 9th, and Marianne and Carl’s home was sold, despite efforts to work with the bank. Their home was auctioned to a real estate investor for $172,000, losing approimately $50,000 in equity.
My goal, with your help, is to raise funds to put towards the purchase of another home, or funds to help facilitate the costs of a rental property that meets the standards necessary for Mom's Home Hospice Care.
We were to surrender the home by February 28th. I reached out to the buyers, to give Mom and me some additional time to make arrangements to repurchase their home. However, they never responded. I was able to negotiate an extension with the Sheriff, allowing us to remain in the home until March 9th. That date has been extended to March 17th.
St. Patrick's Day is the Last Day of Any Further Extension!
Beyond that, we must make arrangements for Mom to be in an Assisted Living Facility, Board our dog Mia, and I will need to make seperate arrangements for my housing needs.
Assisted Living for Marianne is Not Healthy!!!
The recent passing of her husband of 75 years, and the separation of Mia, her Companion-Therapy dog, is breaking her fragile heart! She suffers from congenital heart failure, kidney failure, and she's a 2-time CANCER SURVIVOR, Pancreatic & Breast.
My goal now is to continue to search for a Home or Rental, that keeps Mom near her doctors, Mt. Carmel Hospital South, and her familiar places in the Grove City, OH area.
I want to be able to continue to be her primary caregiver, and keep her beloved companion, our German Shepard Dog Mia, together.
As you can imagine, Mom's fear, at 95 years old, is the thought of not having her own home, where she can be with her remaining family, and her and Dad's cherished possessions.
I’m doing everything I can to stay positive, and encourage Mom to be faithful. I remind her daily that things are in God’s Hands, and that we just need to be patient. He will open a another door.
However, the stress on her is beginning take it’s toll.
The disruption of her lifestyle, after living in the home with Dad, for the past 7 years, coupled with the prospect of being separated from her family, is making Mom even more fragile!
This presents an increased SENSE OF URGENCY to find Mother a new home. She needs to get settled in, so we may enjoy her final years in peace and comfort.
Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers, as we navigate through this stressful period.
I thank ALL of you for your donation, kind generosity, and continued support!
Please pass the word and HELP ME FIND MOM a suitable home, as soon as possible!
Other than your donation, if you know of any available housing or rental property in the Central Ohio Area that would meet her needs, please contact me by email directly.
