Surgery for Casper the rescue horse

Donation protected
First of welcome and thank you for visiting my GFM page!

So.... where do I begin? My name is Rick and I live on a mini farm here in Phoenix, AZ.   A what.... where?
I know I know but its true, we live in Sunburst farms, in the city of Phoenix and we rescue animals both BIG and some not so big. Gods creatures come in all sizes and sometimes they all need a little help.

Home consists of 4 rescue dogs (two that were scheduled to be euthenized on a Wednesday and were rescued on the Tuesday the day before and our other two dogs were in deplorable conditions), 6 chickens (five hens and one not so nice rooster, he's very annoying and his internal alarm clock is way off), we also have 3 Clydesdales that we took in from bad conditions (cracked hooves, under weight, little muscle tone) and are now super healthy, we also have one baby mourning Dove that fell from its nest and we're rehabbing and last but not least is our newest addition to "Ricks Rescue Ranch" is Casper. Casper (we renamed him for his new journey in life) is a 5 year old gelded Arabian Thoroughbred, he's a beautiful horse and his coloring is Dapple Grey.

Casper was listed on craigslist for $100.00 here in Phoenix and just about every horse owner and lover knows that kill lot buyers would be fast to buy him up and sell him off to be slaughtered so we had to act quickly to keep him safe! His conditions were not ideal, at least not to me but then again I spoil all my critters rotten! Casper also came with a medical condition called "Grass Glands"

which are enlarged submandibular lymph nodes (the area at the back of the throat, behind the jawbone) they're large, firm and usually painless swellings in the area where the throat latch would go. Occasionally, the swelling will be accompanied by fluid under the skin. Unfortunately Caspers fluids do not drain and is the reason why we feel surgery is needed.

I'm looking to have surgery done ASAP, no time to waste in my opinion. Im hoping that we can help raise enough money to pay for Caspers surgery, he's truly a kind and loving horse that just needs a little help from some kind human friends.

Thank you for reading!

Signed,
All of Caspers supporters!

ps We changed the amount up to $2100.00 to factor in transportation and post surgery care. Any and all receipts will be made public here. Please remember that GoFundMe takes money out of every campaign. GoFundMe gets (5%) and (2.9% + 0.30) per transaction.
