Care for Cassie & Connor

January 21st, 7-year-old Conner was viciously attacked by the neighbor's dogs in rural Azle, Texas. He suffered severe injuries to his entire body. His first reconstructive surgery, on his face, lasted 3.5 hours at Cook Children's Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas. His mom, Cassie, is only asking for help to replace the winter coat, clothes, and the backpack that the dogs destroyed during the attack on her precious boy. BUT she needs so much more than that. Let me tell you about sweet Cassie.

 

She's a single working mom who battled thyroid cancer in 2017 and won! She has Supraventricular Tachycardia, a heart disease, and at 13 years old, she was told she wouldn't live to be 21. Cassie has spent 20 years on blood thinners and has survived FIVE heart surgeries. Her dream was to become a mom, but she was told she would never be strong enough to carry a baby. She showed them! Not only does she care for her son, but she is raising her Ex's son from a previous marriage.

 

Conner will NEED more surgeries and Cassie is missing work today and will miss many more days to be with her son in the hospital. She has no vacation days or sick days. She will need funds to replace Conner's coat and backpack AND for groceries, gas, and bills, including cosmetic surgery bills.
