Our Family's Recovery From Irma

My name is Allissa Beaver. I live in Daytona Beach, Florida. As you all know, we just had a tragedy happen to us and our apartment and everything has been so hard lately. We just went through a very bad hurricane and I'm praying for everyone that has also been involved. Attached are some photos of the apartment. We usually do not ask for anything but we desperately need the help right now.I am newly engaged, just moved into my new apartment in Daytona by the beach, and live with my 20 month old daughter. When we heard the news about hurricane Irma, we immediately packed our bags and evacuated to our families house in Alabama. We were there for 5 days. We came back to our house completely flooded, mud everywhere, water was about 3-4 feet up from what we can tell and what all of our neighbors were saying. Our entire apartment was covered in mud and dirt and water. We were devastated. We just moved in our apartment, bought all new stuff and everything got ruined.My daughters bed, our bed, our clothes, our couch, and some important memories. We are trying our best to save our clothes and get the mud out but it's been tricky.When we got home from Alabama, we went to the front office at my apartment complex and they are saying since it's inhabitable, we have to leave in 7-10 days because of health issues because the entire wall, and floorboards will most likely be covered in mold by then. We have to move somewhere in a week and we are looking for rentals now.We found this place at such a good rate and now we can't find anywhere that is our budget. I currently don't have a job because of daycare issues but I do make extra money by having a website. I stay at home with my daughter every day.Since we have to move, I will have to return to work and pay for daycare expenses. We really need help right now with our expenses for move in costs. The apartment complex is giving us our deposit of $250 back. Most houses that we found are $1500 to move in. And we have to pay for hotel stays/food expenses because all of our food went bad too. We are very worried about what's going to happen next because our daughter means everything to us.Anything helps. We really really appreciate it and I pray for everyone that is going through the same thing as my family is now. I will be using the money for a deposit on a house and help replacing Sofia and our belongings. Our beds, clothes, everything got ruined. I can't believe this is happening to us and we are so grateful for everything that we do have.
