Chief Bates Strong

My father, Clint Bates, retired Navy Chief of 22 years, has stage 4 lung cancer. He was diagnosed in November of 2014 with sarcoma. After removing a rapidly growing tumor in his back, we found out the cancer had spread to his lungs where he has approximately 30 tumors that we know of for sure. He and my mom, Monique Bates (also his full time care giver) are traveling to Houston Texas in hopes of getting treatment from the very best at MD Anderson. Our family has been extremely blessed to have such an amazing support system throughout the difficult past few months and are very thankful. My father, Chief Bates, has always been the type of man to put everyone else before himself and is one of the most selfless men I've ever known. He is also extremely prideful of his family and has never failed to give us nothing shy of the very best there is to offer. I wish I could give him the world like he has done for my family and I, however, I can't do it on my own. Since his retirement from the Navy in 2013, we have yet to find our dream home and get settled. One of the main things my dad wants for his family is to know that we have a comfortable place to live, but with him being 100% disabled and my mom only having time to be his full time caregiver, that hope is nearly impossible to afford. With that being said, I am trying to raise $50,000 to help my family afford to move into our dream home before the end of 2015. Any donations will help,big or small and wont go unnoticed. My dad still has so much to live for in life and we are convinced that he WILL beat this Cancer. I believe all we need now is Faith and hope. Thank you all in advance .
