Hey, everyone! My name is Chloe, and I’m a 27-year-old trans woman looking to get bottom surgery, or Gender Reassignment Surgery (GRS), and Facial Feminization Surgery.
As of right now, I’ve been transitioning for almost three years, and I’ve been able to finally find those joyful parts of me again that I thought I’d lost forever.
However, transitioning is also very expensive, and I’m at a place in my life where I don’t have the financial means to save up for surgery.
That’s where you come in!
GRS and FFS are both a medically necessary part of my journey, and something I’ve hoped I could achieve my entire life. It will alleviate intense amounts of physical and psychological pain, and allow me to finally find full comfort inside my body. It is also incredibly expensive.
Thankfully, my current insurance does cover a good portion of my GRS, but it does NOT cover FFS, which is why I’ve decided to update my original GoFundMe with the lower amount and add the additional surgery I need.
Estimated costs for obtaining surgeries include:
• My portion of the GRS surgery - (~$2,000)
• Pre-surgery hair removal - (~$2,000)
• FFS - (~$5,000-$8,000)
• Aftercare and potential miscellaneous medical expenses - (~$3,000)
