Chris Weber's Stroke Recovery Fund

Our good friend Chris has suffered a stroke, and is in desperate need of assistance for the neuro rehabilitation program he so vitally needs, to regain his life!
Chris Weber, fondly known as "Weber" to many of his friends, has been having a rough year. Those of us close to Chris, know how much he loves live music, dancing barefoot, and long hikes in nature, which makes his situation, cooped up in a hospital room all the more disheartening. Chris, a type 1 diabetic, had a rough bout with COVID back in the fall. Then this winter he started experiencing excruciating headaches which were discovered to be caused by mysterious spinal fluid leakage. After several hospital visits and unsuccessful blood patches to attempt to block the leakage, Chris returned to the ER in April, and had emergency surgery when blood was discovered on his brain. After his release, his sister Amanda visited with Chris and found that something was very off. She called 911 and he was readmitted. For reasons not fully known, it was discovered he sustained a stroke. Now he’s suffering from some confusion, restlessness, and some loss of coordination on the right side of his body. In order for Chris to get back to his old self, he will need Neuro rehabilitation, which may not be fully covered under his insurance. To make matters worse, Chris had just started a new job in January, thus he was not fully insured for those early hospital visits and procedures. Additional expenses will add up as well, such as driving services and grocery deliveries, etc. He will need the assistance of all his friends, family and kind-hearted strangers to help him get back to the “Weber” we know and love.
In true Weber fashion, he sent us a picture after his surgery to let us know that the doctors tried to save as much of his glorious hair as possible.
Weber is hoping to be released and begin rehab any day now. He has been incredibly grateful to all those who have reached out, visited and shared their concerns. Any amount that anyone is able to give will help Chris immensely in his fight to regain control and get back to his baseline. We hope that he will be able to return to work and restart his path to fulfilling his goals and dreams and sharing many laughs with family & friends.
Godspeed in recovery, Chris!
