Help Chris Lyons Fight Lymphoma
The Lyons family was just like any other family with two young boys in school, wife Aimee in nursing school and Chris working his new Baby Ultrasound business. Chris thought he had a swallon glad under his armpit and thought nothing of it.
A few weeks later, his lump had grown to the size of a grapefruit, so his concerns sent him to his doctor.
After much testing and torturous waiting, Chris was diagnosed with (Non-Hodgkins) Lymphoma. His status has been classified as Stage IV. He will begin chemotherapy treatment this month.
Please find it in your heart to give to the Lyons Family for their fight against Lymphoma. Here is Chris's post from Facebook.
"I debated for a long time before actually deciding to make this post. In the end I decided that it was better to let my friends and family know so that my support can grow and help me through this. I was recently diagnosed with Lymphoma. It started as a swollen lymph node in my armpit a little over a month ago and now its been diagnosed as stage 4. I have been through a handful of procedures and a few surgeries in that short time. I start chemotherapy on October 16th and I'm ...morbidly excited. "How can you be excited?" you ask? Well I'm over feeling sorry for myself and being upset. I'm ready to KICK THIS CANCERS ASS and move on with my life. I have a wonderful network of friends and family to support me through this and I will PREVAIL! I plan to keep my life going just as it has been. I'm not going to lay down and let it beat me and get me down. I decided it was easier to put it on Facebook and it helps to talk about it and get it off my chest. I have the best caregiver in the world at home with me, Aimee Lyons is my superhero and even with as busy as she is in her life she finds the time to make sure I want and need for NOTHING! She is amazing. I don't want people to feel sad for me or sympathetic. I want people to stand by my side in saying F*CK CANCER, I will beat this!!!!!"
Chemotherapy treatment costs tens of thousands of dollars each month. The family and friends of the Lyons family are devastated and wish to help Chris get the best possible treatment and care possible, without the financial ruin that these procedures can cause. Please consider donating to help alleviate the strain of Chris's medical expenses.
With help from the community, we can ensure that cancer is just a chapter in Chris's life, and not the whole story. Assist us in making sure that his family is not alone in their fight against Lymphoma.
