Melanoma isn't free! Support me :)

Donation protected

In March 2015, I had a mole on removed between my shoulder blades, pathology came back as malignant melanoma, with a high mitotic rate (aggressive, and more apt to spread). Melanoma is a very aggressive form of cancer, it moves fast! Although mine was caught, my type of melanoma is very aggressive.
After a couple of months searching for a surgeon covered within my network ( I have an hmox plan, never expecting to need such great coverage at the age of 29, never expecting cancer to creep into my life). My doctors informed me that with my fair complexion, amount of irregular moles, stage, and young age, my chances of developing another is about 95% chance.
May 22, 2015 I finally had surgery for wider margins on two parts of my back. The initial surgery was scheduled for Excision of the melanoma and another suspicious mole and  lymphatic mapping and sentinal lymph node biopsy (melanoma spreads to nearby lymph nodes, then on through other parts of the body, this is the only way to see if the cancer has metasized, and with the stage that I am at, my odds of if being in my lymph nodes are more then likely. Because my insurance sucks, the only care I could recieve was a general surgeon when what I need is a melanoma specialist.  I am in desperate need to get my lymph nodes looked at, and taken out for a better prognosis, as well as survival rate.    Never would have thought I would be posting something so real and life altering, but I am reaching out to family friends and strangers....so if you needed a reason to help someone today here is your chance!
A super long, confusing, stressful, and pale short-ish story later, minus all of the crazy details...I Have started this fund page in hopes for people to help raise, join and support a journey, raise hope to help with the proper care I need for a better prognosis, I do not want to just survive, I want to LIVE.  Everyone knows the "C" word is scary, but the expense that comes along with it, and the stressful, uncertain, and complicated bumpy road along the way is too much for one person to handle alone. The confusion alone is harder then the disease itself.
I hope that I do not come off as burden when  asking for help and support, It has taken all of the strength I can gather to do this. If I don't ask, then the answer will always be "no". I am strong enough to stand alone, smart enough to know when I need help, and brave enough to ask for help when I need it.
So here I am, although afraid and vulnerable, I am courageous by putting myself out there, I hope you agree.  I have set a goal to help with medical expenses, time lost from work, and to get me to a healthy state of body mind and soul!
My ultimate goal will not stop with my journey, and I will make sure I carry out acts of kindness and support to others, because after all, We all have two hands - one to help ourselves and one to help others.
I am not ashamed of my story, as I hope it will some day inspire others, be it asking for help or helping others, getting a yearly skin check, or simply just remembering that everyone is fighting a hard battle so be kind and mindful! ...so PLEASE if there is anyone you would like to share this link with, friends, loved ones, colleagues...little by little, the little becomes a lot and an act of kindness is never wasted!
