My Sister Lost Everything in a Fire
Donation protected
My superhero sister Elrica is raising her 3 kids by herself while getting a college degree and working full time for FEMA. She took in our brother's son earlier this year, so now she's up to 4 children under the age of 14. On Friday night, 4/6/18, her apartment in Plano burned down. It was a complete loss. She managed to save the kids, her purse, and some of the jewelry left to her by our late grandmother. 5 other units had were damaged by the smoke before the fire was extinguished.
The money raised here will go toward moving expenses ($3000), food and lodging for the kids until she finds a new place ($2000), and replacing belongings that were not covered by renter's insurance ($5000).
My heart is breaking for her. She works hard every day to make sure all the children have what they need and then some. She just recently finished furnishing their place, after months of sacrificing and saving up. Please give what you can as soon as you can - they need food and clothing right now. Also, please pray for our entire family and the families in the other affected apartments. We are hoping all of us will return to a somewhat normal life soon.
