Clean Water for People of Haiti

Grey Dove Inc. is a non-profit organization that was established in 2010 with purpose of providing sustainable healthcare in underdevelopment communities throughout the world. 

Our first mission started in Port-au-Prince Haiti after the massive earthquake, when everyone’s homes were destroyed and the need for medical help was scarce. At that time, people of Haiti were living in the most primitive and unsanitary conditions. Although there has been a great deal of development work done in larger cities of Haiti, there are lots of rural areas with huge population that don’t have access to clean water, basic healthcare and medicine, or schooling.  Even though our mission is to provide sanitation healthcare throughout the world, we have maintained our presence in Haiti due to their severe need of basic healthcare and infrastructure.
 
Over the past six years we have worked in both Bondeau and Martel Haiti delivering healthcare to thousands of men, women and children, and putting in place community nurses whose work focuses on providing prevention education and basic primary care.
 
Every three months small teams of Haitian trained doctors and nurses travel to these remote areas to provide specialized care and to renew prescriptions for medications that treat chronic and possibly fatal conditions such as heart disease and diabetes.
 
Currently our work is focusing primarily on Martel and the children who have now enrolled in a newly constructed primary school. We have also financed the purchase of a 5 acre plot - the future home of a small medical clinic and a clean water project that will bring water from the mountains to a large cistern in the schoolyard area, where there is currently no water at all.
 
Our work will continue indefinitely and our need for financial support is ongoing.
