As of May 27th, Izzy is 1 year old, Bean just turned 4. With us working full time from home, we really need a bigger home. Someplace that we would not have to share our room with small children.
So, we packed and packed and packed and stored and cleaned, polished, painted, and got everything in order over the course of 6 months, got the house on the market, and sold it. Now, almost everything we own is in storage, and while we CAN move most of it, slowly, over the course of a month and lots of gas, from storage to the new house, we can't move everything, and it is going to be very difficult to do with 2 small kids. I mean, 2 people can rent a moving truck, load a bed, table, couch, etc into and move...it becomes exponentially more difficult when juggling small creatures that want to play on it and get underfoot.
So, the ideal would be to hire a moving company, if not to help us clean out the storage and get it all moved, at least to help us get the big stuff moved and set up, so that we don't get hurt, don't let the kids get hurt, and don't miss too much work. (it is a 30 minute drive from storage to our new place, but storage is mostly smallish...less than 50 pound boxes (and an exercise bike, christmas decorations, etc.)
That being said, after selling the previous house, paying debt, bill juggling for a down-payment, etc...we are left with very little to hire movers.
So, if possible, we would like a little bit of help, 5 dollars, 10 dollars, whatever spare change you have stuffed in your couch that you can throw at us. Anything is appreciated. I know recent events have been hard on everyone, and I don't want anyone to feel like they have to help, or cause themselves any financial stress to help us out, we just don't really have any in person support network, and so, we try to do everything ourselves. But we both realize things can be a bit easier with some help from your friends, So, here we are.
If there is anything left after the move, it will be going towards buying Bean a big kid bed, so Izzy can have his crib/toddler bed.
