Rehab from complicated Colorectal& Fistula Surgery

UPDATE: Surgery was 8 hours, I was admitted for 9days. Went home for 3 days and got a blocked small bowel. They re admitted me for 8 days and am now on a picc line TPN bag 24 hours a day to feed me as my new colon/gut and nervous system adjusts. I'll be off the bag/IV hopefully in the new year as I bulk back up. They almost gave me an ileostomy because the leak in my colon couldn't be stapled, that's why I didn't get the poo bag. I still need some help with rent i'm 3k behind and auto loan 354.00 and insurance of 154.00 un till I get through this ordeal and back on my feet.

I'm a lyft driver and on 8/20, my second diverticulitis flare up in months landed me in the ER for 7 days with a pelvic abscess, a colovesical fistula and lung infection/pneumonia. I also ended up with e-coli in my blood from fecal matter entering the bladder from the fistula.

Concerned about endocarditis, they gave an ultrasound to the heart valve and a week of antibiotics.The infection in my lung required 1 liter of fluid to be drained (ouch). I will be on at-home picc-line antibiotic and hydration IVs to stave off infection and pain un till and after the procedure. I can't lift more than 10 lbs and the bathroom in my new office(lol). Colectomy and fistula repair is Oct 25. The hope is to be back on my feet soon after.

I do have some supports in place and recently reached out to a social service outreach group to help. I'm at a bottom and exhausted, trying to not stress and get the proper rest needed to heal. This set back is the beginning of a journey as I re imagine my entire life and use it as a springboard.
