Hey everyone sad story time,
My name is Rocky Dale Davis i'm a full time stand up comedian. Well I was before this whole pandemic started. Comedy has been turned upside down for comedians like me. As of right now I don't have a single weekend booked the rest of the year and have only worked 2 weekends since March. I make 100% of my money off stand up comedy. I have also been screwed over by the government. I've applied for both UI and PUA and been unrightfully denied from both and now I have to jump through tons of hoops to get back in the system. I'm now beginning to wonder if I will ever get paid my back pay. I'm owed 22 weeks of unemployment and it's not looking good.
I've tried to delay every posting a GoFundMe as I don't like to ask for money or even accept money. I'm a worker and self independent guy all my life. But I have no way of making the money I need to get back on my feet. I'm looking for a full time job, but it's hard to find one that pays decent considering my work history for the past 8 years consists of fart jokes. This is a daily struggle and i've exhausted every option.
Since I don't just like taking money for free I wanted to offer something in return. If you donate any amount I will be giving you my new comedy special which has brand new jokes that I assume most of my fans haven't seen. I will be filming it September 24th in Hoover, AL and selling it online, so if you donate I will be sending it to you September 27th most likely.
I know times are tough and some people have it way worse than me but i'm simply trying to get by and use what talent and fan base I have to make something special. If you donate or if you even looked at this page, i appreciate it more than you know. I could not have made it this far without my fans that have already donated and have helped me along and the ones that encouraged me to even make this page.
