Donation protected
Blues Singer and Domestic Violence and Gun Violence Survivor Courtney Weaver hosts a benefit to raises awareness for Paper Tiger full length album and elevates other survivor’s voices with music and the performing arts.
After the generosity of my dear friends and Survivor Voices Champagne Honeybee and Chava Mirel I have my Paper Tiger EP recorded at Mike Allens recording studio with Josh Rawligns set for release this August at the Columbia City Theater!
To finish the full length album and film a music video I only need $5200 to complete the project! Incentives include free tickets to my album release party, including a copy of my EP and other perks are in the works
Here is the backstory—
The arts can be a powerful force for social change and for healing. Courtney Weaver was shot in the face and arm by her boyfriend in 2010, five years later she has transformed her experience into a call for action and integrated her advocacy with her music by founding the Survivor Voice’s Collective and debut album Paper Tiger.
Using music and the arts as a way to elevate the voices of survivors of domestic violence and gun violence, showcasing their stories in a multimedia format along with Courtney’s own songs about the dangerous relationship between love and violence.
