Covid19Clinic - Fundraiser
Please help and support us in our efforts to run the make-shift Covid clinics in Rural Andhrapradesh.
As you are aware, the scale of the Covid crisis in India has overwhelmed hospitals and caused extreme shortages of oxygen, life support equipment and essential medicines, pushing the Indian health care system to the brink and stretched beyond its limits.
Taking inspiration from the kindness and generosity exhibited by several people during this difficult time, we believe that many of us in the USA can also contribute and help India overcome this crisis. More specifically, the rural population in India is struggling due to a lack of access to health care and hospital resources.
Save the Liver Foundation, a non-profit organization started Make-Shift Covid Care Clinics in Rural Andhra Pradesh, to help support the overwhelmed Hospital occupancy by providing availability of beds to Patients requiring non-critical care.
Save the Liver has currently secured 100 Oxygen Concentrators in addition to the basic necessities such as Pulse Oximeters, Thermometers, BP Monitors, IV Dosage equipment & essential Covid Treatment Drugs enough to operate up to 3 Rural Make-Shift Covid Care Clinics. Two of these Clinics are currently under operation, one in Veerankilock and the second in Mopidevi (Krishna District). We are in the process of obtaining approvals for the third Clinic.
Each clinic offers access to all the villages within a Mandal (reach of 40,000 people) and is equipped with the below:
Well-trained doctors to administer Covid Treatment as per ICMR Protocols
Well-trained Nurse in Health Care & Vitals Testing
Daily Counseling offered to Patients
Ambulance Services
Connectivity with District level Urban hospitals to shift Covid Patients requiring ICU admission or Critical care or Oxygen supply greater than 4 liters/minute
Connectivity with Laboratories for Tests & Results
Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, and other Nutritional Juices and Food served every day to all patients
Daily Cleaning & Sanitation of the Inside & Outside of the Clinics
Proper Hazardous Waste Disposal of Waste collected from the Clinic
At present, our doctors are treating an average of 25 Outpatients per day and each Clinic averages 30 Inpatients receiving treatment with Supplemental Oxygen at a given time.
The estimated cost of operating each Clinic is Rs. 10 Lakhs per month and we intend to operate these Clinics for a period of 3 months (until Covid cases decline significantly). After receiving initial financial support for establishment and infrastructure from near & dear, we are now extending our reach and request to all in order to cover the operational costs of these Clinics.

Founded in 2016, Save the Liver Foundation is a group of passionate doctors and volunteers with the goal to eradicate Viral Hepatitis in India. We work towards our goal by creating awareness, conducting screening & treatment camps and carrying grass-root level research & analysis.
