2020 Crawford High Cross Country

From our Coaches... We are already up and running with another cross country season! Our team has welcomed a bumper crop of freshmen, many of whom have been training all summer long, eager to start racing. In a sweet twist, our team is now led in part by our Congolese refugee runners. Four years ago, they were quite literally newcomers to this country. Now, they are using their unique leadership skills to guide this diverse new group of runners, many of whom were born here in San Diego. We are planning on qualifying for the state meet in Fresno as a team as we have for the past 2 years straight. We also plan to CONTINUE to be the team with the highest GPA in Crawford.  UPDATE on our Seniors from last year's team.  All are attending college locally, and two are running for their colleges! Nader Ali is running for CSU San Marcos (along with ‘18 alum Isaq Moabim) Arturo Sandoval is running for City College, and SDSU freshman Ana Moreno will coach a middle school running club at Horace Mann. We couldn’t be more proud of these student-athletes who continue to be leaders and role models for other young people in our community as they pursue excellence at the college level. Thank you for your past donations, without which all of this goodness wouldn’t have happened!  Once again, we are reaching out for support as the season begins. We need money for running shoes and traveling expenses for races out of the county.
