Create a loving dog rescue sanctuary in Bulgaria

My name is Alyc and I am on track to opening a safe loving sanctuary for abandoned dogs in Bulgaria.

Why Bulgaria?.. I travelled to Bulgaria and instantly fell in love. Then my heart broke when I saw the amount of dogs and puppies living to survive on the street. they were thirsty for love and cuddles and affection and I wanted to give that to them all.

I am so passionate about dogs experiencing the love they are so willing to give us, even the poor dogs who have experienced abuse at human hands. The upsetting state of the dogs roaming the streets I witnessed in bulgaria changed my life, i couldnt understand how this beautiful and nature rich country could have such suffering animals. I knew what I needed to do with my life. Rescue these beautiful souls.

There are huge issues with lack of funds for the Bulgarian people to easily neuter their dogs leading to many being abandoned pregnant and having to survive the awful conditions they were dumped in, the babies continuing this vicious cycle as soon as they are able to reproduce.

All efforts to fundraise and generous donations will go to rescuing dogs off of the street, to give them access to any medical treatments needed, a safe home to run, play, learn to trust again and be rehabilitated in, showing them they are deserving of love and that this is the end of their journey being alone. To reduce the amount of puppies born into street life with a neutering fund and create a healthy environment where all of their needs are met - surrounded by dog lovers who can help to educate and change the story for our dogs in Bulgaria. I hope we will be able to support and encourage people financially who want to keep their beloved pets at home, as financial difficulties should not be a factor if someone wants to care for and love their dog. I also hope to eventually be finding forever homes for our rehabilitated dogs who are ready to have their own family to love forever (I'm not going to lie I'm scared I won't want to let them go!)

Bulgaria is a wonderful country full of spectacular fauna, flora and landscapes, the use and abuse of dogs does not fit with my image of this beautifully nature filled country. Let's be a part of changing this.

So I vow to found a charity where we can as a team of dog lovers can raise the funds and love needed to make a huge impact in the lives of these beautiful animals, I vow to share every step of the journey and create a stronger bridge between us and the dogs in need.

We don't deserve dogs, they are so pure. Let's show them the ones of us who care, how powerful that can be!
