MRI and Treatment Plan for Ben
Donation protected
Ben is one of those once in awhile cat. His story went viral and touched the hearts of thousands. The response and support we have received has been instrumental in his journey.
Earlier this year, when we believed that Ben only needed love and patience to heal from his past as a stray cat, he started experiencing a limp. Subsequent X-rays revealed what looked like an old injury on the lower end of his spine, which was exerting pressure on his nerves, causing him significant pain and discomfort, leading to limping and a general sense of unease.
His vet recommended a CT Scan to precisely identify the location of this pressure and determine the most suitable course of treatment, whether it be surgical or a more conservative approach.
Thanks to the generosity of many of Ben’s followers, we were able to raise funds for his CT Scan. The results of the scan indicated that the pain in his lower back is likely the result of a long-term degenerative disease that has recently worsened. However, the scan also revealed an abnormality that doesn’t typically align with his symptoms or the degenerative disease. As a result, a specialist has advised that an MRI is necessary before deciding on the appropriate treatment, whether it involves surgery or an alternative approach.
In the meantime, Ben is on pain management medication to ensure his comfort while we work to raise the necessary funds for his MRI, which will provide crucial insights into the best path forward for him.
Please help us help Ben.
