A New Sound for Our Beloved Hymns

Hello, friends! We're Double Nickel Band, a group of musicians from Southern California. Since 2019, we've been playing music together and sharing our love of classic rock and country music with audiences.

Today, we're excited to tell you about a special project we've been working on which is recording an album of beloved hymns in a reimagined, fresh way.

Over the course of the past two years, we have created unique arrangements of these hymns, applying our blend of vocal harmonies and acoustic style to create a listening experience that we believe will bring familiar hymns to life in a new and inspiring way. Most of the tracks we anticipate including on this album come from the Christian Science hymnal with at least one original song as part of the collection.

Currently, we have about two-thirds of our tracks recorded, most of which are part-way through the mixing process. We hope to finalize the recording, mixing and mastering early in 2025 and plan to release the album this spring or summer.
