Keep on Praying for Daniel Gaines
How did the accident happen:
Many asked about the accident. Simply stated, Daniel works for a tree service. They had rigged up a large tree branch to lower it to the ground so it wouldn't hit the house it was overhanging. A pulley was attached to another part of the same tree, higher up, to execute the lift with cables, pulleys, etc. and the branch failed. Daniel was standing in proximity of the tree and was struck by the falling branch.
Daniel was both unresponsive and not breathing. A gentlemen named Joe Aaron and Kyle Irwin and other key people were there to assist Daniel and perform CPR until the EMS arrived.
The reason I set up the gofundme account is so Daniel will receive a loving gift from family and friends to help him while he is taking a pretty good amount of time off from work . This will bless Daniel beyond words and I thank you for taking part in this gift.
100% of the gofundme money will go directly to Daniel, less the small percentage gofundme charges. I will personally ensure that Daniel will get this gift from you/everyone that has donated ASAP, when he needs it or is able to manage it himself.
My name is Mary Ornstein. I grew up with Daniel's Mother, the late Laura M. Collier. Laura and I we were best friends since we were 11 years old. We both grew up in Killeen, Tx , and met in middle school.
Laura lost her fight with Cancer in 2008. Daniel came to live with our family here in Houston after his Sophomore year and graduated from Langham Creek High School with an abundance of great friends and extended family.
During that period of time, Daniel became a brother to both my son's Emerson and Everett and a son to my husband Greg and myself.

Daniel on an adventure
Thank you for taking the time to visit Daniel’s page and also for donating to Daniel’s gofundme account. We all know what a hard worker Daniel is, and when he is able and recovers, this will be such a blessing to him. I can only imagine what it will mean to him when he realizes what you all have done for him!!
Thank each and every one of you, once again!!!
