Im Julie Davis, former student of retired Rockdale County teacher Mrs. Huff- Teacher extraordinaire at Conyers Middle School. It has been 33 years since I was blessed to be placed in her class. She quickly became a close friend and mentor to me and all those that crossed her path.
Mrs. Huff has since retired after 41 year of dedicating her life to the children of Rockdale County. She is a single woman living on a fixed income. In January of this year she was diangosed with stage 3 Breast cancer and has been fighting it with vigor and an incredible attitude daily since then. She has endured a serious surgey and is now going through Chemo and countless tests.
She is a strong very proud woman and would never ask for the help of others and is always reaching out to those in need still today to offer a hand.
She has only begun to recieve the countless medical bills, medication bills, co-pays ect. There are expenses for hiring out chores that she certainly would handle on her own otherwise. But can use a hand now!
I am asking for everyone that knows and loves her to please donate to help her out in this time of need. If you are a former student please join me in donating-big or small it will all add up. If you have never had the pleasure of meeting her and feel compelled to help-please do so.
I would like to raise these funds in the next 6 weeks as this is when she will be 3/4th of the way through with her chemo and will be in throughs of the daunting task of facing countless bills.
Your generosity and help would absolutely mean the world to me and I know it will to her. It will make her life a little easier in this rough season. Her attitude remains nothing short of AMAZING despite all that she is facing!
