UWaterloo - The Dawn of Hong Kong Exhibition
The Exhibition - the Dawn of Hong Kong - is generally divided into two sections which are the timeline, with galleries and illustrations, and the call for action. We would like to explain what Hongkongers had gone through in the past eight months.
We would like to explain what Hongkongers had gone through in the past eight months. Most importantly, we aim to spread the message that we are still fighting and have neither forget nor forgive. In terms of the timeline, we recorded down all symbolic issues which happened during the past eight months with the background of lion rock to intensify the lion rock spirit in Hong Kong. The lion rock spirit has been an important part during the protest in which protestors helping strangers without knowing them - it is the things that we try to embrace and promote internationally. Also, galleries and illustrations will be attached to the timeline which promotes the creativity and the possibilities of Hongkongers free creation. They also act as a reference for people who do not know anything about the protest by catching their interests via the images. At the same time, related video clips and music would be played throughout the exhibition.
People could know more in addition to reading the words and visualizing photos, but also watching the video to experience what are HongKong people facing. Protest related songs would also be played during the exhibition in the hope of people know more about Hong Kong pop and music culture. Apart from that, we would like to illustrate the "ootd" of Hong Kong Protestors and also what they have inside their backpack for daily life. With the display of realistic gears, people could more able to understand the equality of "violence" between the protestors and the police.
The donations we receive here will count towards the printing and ordering of exhibition-related materials.
Please help spread the word to the world. Freedom is not free. We all need to go hand in hand to protect and cherish the freedom we have in Canada today. Special thanks to all the artists and photographers participating in the exhibition!
The tear gas can't stop us;
The WuhanVirus can't stop us.
We will fight for freedom until the end.
Five Demands Not One Less.
無情的催淚煙不能停止我們;
肆虐的肺炎也不能停止我們。
我們將會努力奮鬥至戰勝一刻。
五大訴求,缺一不可。
