Hi everyone,

First and foremost, thank you for visiting my GoFundMe page. My name is Michael; I'm 34 years old, born and raised in Liverpool, England, and I was born profoundly deaf, with British Sign Language (BSL) as my first language. Every day, I navigate challenges that come with being Deaf in a hearing world, working twice as hard to pursue my dreams. Now, I'm reaching out because I need your help to turn one of my biggest dreams into reality.

For years, I've been training, preparing, and dedicating myself to mountaineering. Everest has been my ultimate goal—a dream I've held in my heart through countless hikes and high-altitude expeditions. However, taking on Everest is no small feat, especially when the cost alone, even without flights, is approximately £25,000. And with the Nepalese government expected to raise fees in 2025, this cost will likely increase further.

I’ve secured my place on the 2026 Everest expedition with Seven Summit Trek, but I need your help to cover the costs of this monumental journey. Climbing Everest is not just a personal challenge it's a chance to show others that dreams can come true, no matter the barriers.

With years of trekking and mountaineering experience, I’m driven by a passion to break down barriers and prove that Deafness is not a limitation but a strength. Standing on top of the world would represent so much more than a personal victory it would be a message to others that no matter how big or difficult the goal, they should never stop chasing it.
