Help Debbie Beat Cancer!

Debbie Raesler is a devoted mom, loving daughter and sister, loyal friend and an asset to our community. She is accomplished, humble and the kindest person we know. She’s dedicated her professional life to caring for children and families in her role as a school counselor and the co-chair of the Lorain County Crisis Team. When Debbie isn’t volunteering to hand out food to those in need or lend her ears and heart to anyone who needs her, you will find her running. She’s ran 13 full-marathons, 27 half-marathons and an ultra-marathon! Debbie is only 47 years old and just two weeks ago was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Her rigorous treatment will include months of chemotherapy to shrink a tumor and then hopefully surgery to remove it. As with most people in helping professions, her income doesn’t come close to matching her value or ability to manage the forthcoming mounting medical bills. So, in order to ease the financial burden that this horrific diagnosis will bear, we are raising funds for Debbie’s fight against cancer. It’s time to give back to someone who has given so much of herself to every life she’s touched. Debbie is a very strong warrior and we’re all standing with her, as her army, in this fight.
