My name is Dennis and I was diagnosed with CKD (Chronic Kidney Disease) and I had a kidney transplant back in May 29, 2009 with a live donor (my sister). But now I’m fighting another battle because antibodies are attacking my transplanted kidney, I went to ER back in March from work because of dehydration and thats how I found out that my creatinine numbers went from my normal 1.2 - 1.5. To 2.6 - 2.8. They did the first biopsy in June and showed 10% rejection. My doctors tried to treat with IVIG and Rituxan infusions and see if it can get rid of the antibodies but with no luck. 2nd biopsy was just done September 19, 2017 and results showed an active rejection and a creatinine of 4.1 and my doctors are trying to get it down to at least 2.0.
So 2 days later I was back in the operating table to put a portacath, so the can treat me with plasmapharesis, more IVIG, and Rituxan.
Since July 4th I haven’t gone back to work since my new Antirejection drugs is making me nauseous and vomiting at times and or major cramping of mt stomach.
Having a difficult time catching up with medical & prescription bills.
This will help ease some of the worries and stress of my love ones. Especially my wife and kids.
