Supporting the Lee Family - UNC ESOP
Donation protected
We have created a website (https://www.leefamilysupport.com) to centralize the GoFundMe links and publicize upcoming fundraising events. There is another donation page organized by the Eship Center at UNC (https://www.gofundme.com/lee-family-support). Both sites support Diana Lee, her brother Raymond and family. This site serves as a support mechanism for Diana and Raymond on behalf of UNC and the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy students, staff, faculty, preceptors, alumni and friends.
On the 10th of April, a massive gas explosion occurred at 115 N Duke St. caused by a gas leak. This was also the location of Kaffeinate, a family owned coffee shop by Diana Lee, her brother, and her father. The building collapsed, and Mr. Kong Lee, the owner and Diana's father, unfortunately did not survive the accident.
Diana Lee is a beloved student of the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy, Class of 2021, and a sister of the Kappa Epsilon fraternity. Always full of passion and encouragement, she has always gone above and beyond to empower her peers and serve as a leader and a mentor. A Triangle resident for 20+ years, Diana is also a UNC undergrad alumna, who dedicated herself to pursue initiatives leading to positive changes within the community.
Donations will be delivered directly to Diana Lee to financially support the funeral proceedings as well as rebuilding and other necessary expenses.
This fundraiser is organized by the Lambda Chapter of Kappa Epsilon, a professional fraternity at the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy.
