Help Save the beaches in Jamaica ! Unfortunately another one of our beaches is being taken away from us, in order to save our beach we need to raise sufficient funds to put a stop on yet another beach being taken away from our community!
Please help us save the "Discovery bay beach club ", as this beach is a great source for community spirit and especially for all diversities mainly focusing around the senior citizens. Where they can learn to swim from beginnners to intermittent to professional swimmers, who may even have the confidence to go forth to swimming at the nationals !
This beach gives back to the community as well as gives the community a confidence and loving family spirit. Not only does this beach cater for swimming lessons, but also caters for events such as family fun days, weddings, church events, Christmas bookings, Any function you name it this beach is the backbone and life of the community down here in Discovery bay Jamaica.
This beach can be located next to Red Cross beach, in discovery bay. Also can be found under the name Discovery Bay Beach club (peach beach).
We as a community as one big family, need to stick together and make sure we keep that community spirit going!
Entrances to particular sides of the beaches off Fortland road, a well known road, where there are based a large community of people who use this section of the beach for their recreational activities.
Please help us stop them from taking away this beach, any kind donations will be grateful towards this family movement we have now created to stop this from happening !
There will be updates on the progress of our legal case and the money will go towards the legal bills we are incurring to fight our right to keep the beach available for locals to use.
Let us all stick together, to keep the shine always going in this side of Jamaica.
This is a most definitely a loving equivalent as a day centre for the seniors to meet and fellowship, it is an area that is not being provided by the government, minister of sports and education. None of these areas have been provided for these people, they have nothing here. Other than This beach gives everyone a chance especially senior citizens to retire and believe in their selves more!
