A Service Dog For Cael
Donation protected
Our son, Cael, is 8 years old and suffers from Tourette Syndrome, ADHD, OCD, sensory dysfunction, and severe anxiety. While he does an amazing job of being a totally normal kid, there are a lot of days when he struggles. Cael is calmest and most comfortable when with a dog. The problem is that most dogs (especially our dog, Jagger) don't want to cuddle as intensely as he needs, nor do they want to hang around when he tics. A service dog will make a world of difference for him. Right now Cael struggles sometimes to even leave the house due to anxiety. A constant companion to help him feel safe while in crowded or overwhelming situations will open up doors for him that we can’t even imagine. In addition to the anxiety support, a service dog will be able to alert us if Cael has an extreme ticcing episode and ensure that he is somewhere safe and won’t hurt himself. Training a service dog is a tremendous undertaking and will cost $10k+ and take a year or more. Please help us get Cael this best friend to support him through his daily struggles so that he can get the most out of his life and not miss out due to his disability. Thank you!!
