Dorothy Watts: Memorial Fund

Dorothy (Cantwell) Watts, Mother, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother, went to be with The Lord Saturday, December 21, 2024, in Wichita Falls, Texas.

Though Mom had been dealing with illness off and on, her passing was not expected. She faced health challenges head-on and came out the other side with exceptional fortitude.

A woman of faith, she studied her Bible deeply and enjoyed learning new information that strengthened an already awesome walk with God. Mom was the backbone of our family, teaching us about Jesus and making sure we were each ready, when the time came, to accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior.

Mom was a friend to everyone she met and enjoyed many life-long friendships, including her bunco group, square dancing club, Bible study groups, fellow USAF wives, and neighbors.

Our family, on top of being heartbroken for our loss, has found the expenses for her funeral much higher than ever expected. It is because of the timing and the unexpected expense that we have set up this GoFundMe effort.

We want to celebrate Mom’s life as it should be, without any huge production, just as she would have it.

The basic costs have taken us by surprise. If you feel led to do so, donations to this GoFundMe effort would be more than appreciated.

We also welcome you to attend Dorothy (Cantwell) Watts’ Celebration of Life Friday, January 3, 2025, at the Lunn’s Funeral Home chapel. Family and friends will be received from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm and the Celebration begins at 2:00 p.m.
