Help me evacuate From Gaza and continue my studies
Donation protected
My name is Dr. Belal Hadayed from Gaza (Palestine), I am writing this after lots of thoughts and hesitation. This began as a request and call to evacuate my family, however, after some careful thought and discussion with my family, we have decided that I should leave Gaza and continue finishing my Medical studies in Egypt. I am desperately seeking your generous support to help me evacuate myself from Gaza. I have been working in Gaza for over 100 days helping my people in the hospital.
I work at the European Gaza Hospital and I have volunteered there since the 7th of October. I am writing this after a lot of thoughts and hesitation. But the urgency and the need to rescue my medical future is greater than my hesitancy. I am desperately seeking your generous support to help me to travel to Egypt. Idecided to stay here and to continue saving lives in Gaza as I did and I do since the 7th of October , but now I’ve come to a point where I’m desperate and I URGENTLY and humbly ask you to help me and save the remaining of my medical future by getting me out of Gaza
I have to be in Egypt to choose a specialty and get assigned a residency, and traveling to Egypt will cost me a lot of money due to the war, which is impossible process for me as a Gazan doctor working and suffering under the aggressive since over 100 days.
Iplan to continue to work on getting a specialty while In Egypt and I am in need of the funds to leave, as well as support myself initially. There’s no SAFE place in Gaza due to slow deaths by hunger, dehydration, displacement, the spreading of illnesses and disease and the ongoing bombings. Choosing to leave my family in Gaza is a very painful decision to make, but the situation has become unimaginably horrific, and we have come to the conclusion that someone should live, and I have dreams and hopes like many of you around the world and I hope to be able to live another day to achieve them.
We are now homeless like many others due to the ongoing bombings in Gaza since October 7th. My family was displaced 2 times and since I didn’t want to flee further south with them and leave all those injured patients behind, I’ve decided to stay and volunteer in the hospital while not being sure if they made it safely to the south or if I’d ever hear from them again.

Due to the lack of communication, I was only able to find them after over a month of searching from refugee camp to another and from tent to tent, but thank God I was able to find them about 2 weeks ago. They now stay in a tent somewhere in Rafah in completely inhuman conditions, they’re running out of food, there’s no electricity, no water, no toilet and the weather is cold and rainy.
I’m currently volunteering at European hospital in Khan Younis and the journey to Rafah is not easy (no transportation, hours of walking with high risk of been shot or bombed) but I try to reach them every 10 days to ensure they are still ALIVE because there’s no communication and E-sims don’t work in that area.
It’s been 3 months of hell and horror. This genocide has been too long to bear, and our mental health and lives are in constant danger. (I can’t describe enough what I have been dealing with daily in the hospitals for the past 100 days or so, I lost count). We have reached a point where there is no hope left for us here in Gaza where we are unfortunately just waiting for our turn to die and even if there is a ceasefire, the destruction in Gaza is beyond prompt repair.
Being the primary caretaker of my family, I won’t be able to live with myself if something will happen to my family and I didn’t do everything in my power to support them, and right now, the best way we have found is for me to leave and work abroad so I can support them financially.
Please help me leave. I will sincerely appreciate any donation, even small ones that will make a significant difference in alleviating our suffering. Please consider SHARING my campaign widely with your family and friends to reach my goal as soon as possible since every second holds a danger of death in Gaza. I will be forever grateful for your kind assistance in this incredibly difficult time.
We are hoping to raise $10,000. The proceeds of this fundraiser will be accepted by an account managed by my cousin Rola Barbakh in the US, as banks are not operational in Gaza and I have no access to an international bank account at this time.
Your generous contributions will go towards the following:
$500 for the fees of travel and transportation from Gaza to Egypt.(This is in the event that I did not pay coordination to escape, because coordination requires 10,000 dollars per person, but I am promised by an official authority to expel me without coordination, but if their promises to me are disappointing, unfortunately, I will need 10,000 dollars to get out of Gaza, not 500 dollars)
$9,000 will go towards shelter/house rental in Egypt, resettling, buying clothes, urgent healthcare, and other humanitarian needs for a few months while I start my residency program.(This 9,000 includes the most important thing for me, which is obtaining my graduation certificates again from Sudan, as they cost an expensive 4,000 dollars for 4 certificates (a specification certificate, a general graduation certificate in Arabic, another in English, and a cardboard certificate).
Approximately $500 to cover GoFundMe transaction fees (%2.9+$0.30 per transaction)
